The town centre, which dates from the Middle Ages, is extremely well preserved and retains an authentic atmosphere that invites visitors to enjoy a historic journey back in time.

The nature of the marshland and the wide expanses make the area around Ribe ideal for cyclists, no strength-sapping mountain stages here!

Hiking along the Wadden Sea

Go hiking along the Wadden Sea. The scenery at Ribe and Esbjerg offers many beautiful experiences. Take a walk on the dike at Kammerslusen, follow the river Kongeåen from the Wadden Sea inland, visit the nature reserve Marbæk at Ho bay - there are many opportunities.

The Night Watchman in Ribe

Follow the Night Watchman, listen to his songs and stories as he walks his traditional round through Ribe’s historic streets, every day from May to October. The Night Watchmen of Ribe manage to create a very special atmosphere, and you feel like you go back in time.

The library in Ribe is open from 7.00-22.00, here you will find Danish and foreign literature, online newspapers, books, music and movies.

Playgrounds in Ribe

Spend a few good hours of activity and play and take the children to one of Ribe's many lovely playgrounds and have a happy time together.

Dog Parks

Enjoy a few hours with the four-legged friend and bring him to the dog park. Three of the dog parks are fenced, the two dog parks in Ribe are not fenced. Your dog can run free without a leash as long as it is supervised and controlled.
